Any prices listed on this website for services and products are in GBP Sterling and all charges will be processed in GBP Sterling.

I ("James Nock trading as James Nock Web Development and Management") have developed this privacy policy in order to demonstrate a firm commitment to the privacy of your data and GDPR. I am committed to safeguarding the privacy of your data whilst providing a personalised and valuable service. If you have any requests concerning your personal information or any queries with regard to these practices please contact me. This privacy policy applies to all "personal data" as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998. In this privacy policy, I also refer to personal data as "data", "information" or "personal information".

Information Collected

If you contact me for any reason, I may retain copies of any letters or emails, and may record written details of any telephone conversation with you. I will not make any audio recording of telephone conversations. I don't hold any records on website visitors but do hold the following pieces of information about clients whom I engage in work with:

All information is processed by the dedicated server that this website is hosted on inside the United Kingdom. The server is managed by me and no one else has access to it without my consent. The data types in the table above are kept until deletion is asked for or until I deem it no longer necessary.

I also store information for clients that I build websites for (where applicable). This is kept offline and is password protected. The following pieces are stored for those clients:

The data types in the table above are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed. I also store copies of invoices indefinitely, for a minimum period of 7 years.

Use of information

I use information held about you only to respond to queries from you. Your information will never be sold to third parties.

Disclosures

I will not pass your information to any third party except if I am required to by:

  • The Police
  • Any regulatory or government authority
  • A court of law

I will inform you of any such order or request for disclosure as soon as reasonably practicable after I receive it, unless I am prohibited by law from doing so or it is not reasonably practicable to do so.

Security

This website and my emails both utilise SSL encryption technology. I will never pass on passwords to any third party on your behalf without written permission.

Cookies and server logs

This website does not use any cookies or any other tracking mechanism.

Server logs capture certain non-personally identifying data, such as the time and date of a web visit, the browser and operating system being used, the IP address or domain name of the user's ISP, and the web URL a user linked from. This information may be used in aggregate form to help me plan system enhancements when necessary and to provide content which is compatible with my visitors' web browsing systems.

Accessing your records

Clients can request a copy of the data I hold about them at any time by making contact with me. I will endeavour to forward on this data as quickly as I can, but always within a month. You have the right to request for your information to be updated, which I encourage. I am also happy to delete your information on request; please be aware that this may result in a reduced ability to communicate with you. Please note that I cannot delete the data that I hold about you if any of the following conditions are met:

  • the personal data is still necessary for the purpose which I originally collected or processed it
  • the data is required in order to comply with a legal obligation
  • I am relying on consent as a lawful basis for holding the data, and you withdraw your consent

Change to Privacy Policy

If I change this Privacy Policy, the amended Privacy Policy will be posted on this website and the revised Policy will take effect once posted. Your continued use of this website after the posting will signify your agreement to the new terms.
